Jeanne Dee, CPA/CGMA, audit and assurance partner at Anders CPAs + Advisors (Anders), has been appointed to the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) Not-for-Profit Advisory Committee (NAC) effective January 1, 2024. With nearly 20 years of industry experience, Jeanne leads the Not-for-Profit practice at Anders, working with organization leadership, executive directors and board members to help them better understand the financial reporting process. As a leader on standards and regulations of the accountancy profession at the local, state and national level, Jeanne is knowledgeable and skilled in researching accounting principles and new or changing audit standards and is a frequent author and speaker on these topics.

I’m delighted and humbled at the opportunity to join the NAC and collaborate with the outstanding professionals who share the enthusiasm and commitment to the not-for-profit industry. I’m excited to get started!

The committee sits 15 to 20 members who exhibit a deep knowledge of and keen interest in financial accounting and reporting, experience in the not-for-profit sector, a strong commitment to implementing improvements in financial reporting for users of financial statements and an aptitude for providing insights on a diverse array of financial reporting matters. The role of the committee is to gather input from the not-for-profit sector on current and proposed technical agenda projects, existing financial reporting guidance and longer term or pervasive financial reporting matters affecting their organizations.

“The six new members of the FASB’s Not-for-Profit Advisory Committee come from diverse professional backgrounds and organizations, but one thing they all share is a commitment to high-quality financial reporting in the not-for-profit space,” stated FASB Chair Richard R. Jones. “On behalf of the FASB, I am pleased to welcome them to the NAC and look forward to the insights they will add to the group’s robust discussions on standard-setting issues affecting not-for-profit stakeholders.”

As one of the six new NAC members, Jeanne will serve a four-year term ending on December 31, 2027.
